VIRUS-HOST INTERACTIONS
We believe that we can reduce disease burden through collaborative and innovative biomedical research performed in a fun environment. We are interested in knowing how viruses and their hosts interact. Specifically, some questions we have are:
Why do some people get worse disease following infection?
What factors influence virus transmission and evolution?
Can we use the knowledge gained by answering these questions to devise novel strategies to block transmission or prevent disease?
